NATURE VS [NATURE]
BETWEEN THE YEARS OF 1968 AND 2010 THE ARENAL VOLCANO CONTINUOUSLY ERUPTED, SCORCHING MORE THAN 26,000 HECTARES OF ITS LUSH, MOUNTAINSIDE FORESTS. HOWEVER, IN THE DORMANT YEARS SINCE, THE LOCAL FLORA HAS FOUGHT BACK, RE-CLAIMING THE ONCE BARREN STRETCHES OF VOLCANIC ASH AS A TROPICAL PARADISE TEEMING WITH LIFE. THE ARENAL VOLCANO NOW HOSTS MORE THAN 1,000 DIFFERENT SPECIES OF PLANTS AND ANIMALS, MANY OF WHICH DEPEND ON ARENAL’S RICH VOLCANIC SOIL AND NATURAL SPRINGS TO SURVIVE.
